Brief Answer:
Surgery would be required... subsequently.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
It seems your father is suffering from acute calculous cholecystitis.
Please get blood tests done- CBC and LFTs. please also repeat an Ultrasound as this report does not tell whether there are signs of acute inflammation.
He would most likely need a course of antibiotics for 7 to 10 days and then a Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy can be done.
You can let me know the reports for further consultation.
Take care and do not worry.
Regards,
Dr Rishi.
