Brief Answer:
Foot end elevation
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the information.
The best and natural remedy to get rid of physiological pedal edema is by elevating the foot when sleeping. Elevation should not be more than 25 degrees from ground level.
There are medications like diuretics which can reduce the oedema by removing excess water from body but with hypertension in place, its not safe.
If the redness and tenderness increases with swelling this it could be pathological and the cause may be Cellulitis. It is when you need to consult your physician and get evaluated to see if the WBC counts are raised. Then you will need a course of antibiotics to get it treated.
Hope, I answered your query.
Wish you good health.
