Question: my friend's knee snapped while walking and know he is in excruciating pain, cannot walk with that leg, cannot lift it off floor, he is in so much pain? What do you think?

Is there anything to relieve 6 herniated discs in thoracic spine

Hi,

This acute problem most likely occurred due to snapped / torn ligaments or meniscus. Difficult to assess the severity without X-ray's and scans.

It would be better to ice the area or alternate it with heat. The knee should be immobilized. Give him over the counter available NSAID drugs - Ibuprofen or Aleve. I will strongly recommend ER visit for aforementioned evaluation.

Herniated disc cannot be rectified by conservative approach. Few chiropractioner claim to rectify the problem; but there are no robust scientific studies to recommend the same. Do you have MRI scans of the back that confirms herniation. If yes, please upload reports here. It will allow me to recommend treatment options.
