My Heart Rate Is Over 100 In Relax Mode
May be many causes
Detailed Answer:
Hello, I'm Dr. Branch, thanks for using 'Ask a Doctor'.
There may be many causes for a fast resting heart rate like this. Assuming your rhythm is normal, which in the majority of cases it is, it may be caused by fever, emotional stress, pain, anemia, high thyroid hormone, medications or other drugs, and problems with the heart.
If this only lasts a short while, I wouldn't be concerned about it, as it is likely normal.
But if it persists, I would recommend seeing a doctor about getting an EKG, as well as blood tests for anemia and thyroid levels, and possibly an echocardiogram to make sure the heart is pumping normally.
I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any other questions, I would be glad to discuss it with you further.
