Question: my husband after three weeks on antiobics steriod inhaler allergy medicine and nasal spray he still has a horrible cough that is causing him to cramp up on his sides. he had chest xray that came back normal but his blood work blood cell count white came back slightly elevated and his liver count came back slightly elevated. What could this be as his primary dr is lost on what is going on and casing the cough besides maybe viral infection please help use figure out what it could be. he does sleeo with a resmed and our ac filters were horrible when i changed them out could that have caused something with this cough and his sides cramping

I can understand your concern.
I have gone through history you have given.
Since his chest x ray is normal, no need to worry for any fungal or viral pneumonia.
Possibility of severe bronchitis is more likely.
So get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
PFT will not only diagnose bronchitis but it will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment is based on severity only.
He may need higher inhaled bronchodilators.
So please let me know
1. Which inhalers he is taking at present?
2. Is he a smoker?
