Brief Answer:
Better not to use viagra.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

Taking count that he had a triple bypass recently he may not be ready for taking viagra yet.
He should get retested doing an echo stress test to check for possible heart ischemia and if everything comes out normal he can use it.
He has just had cardiovascular diseases and is at risk of developing cardiovascular diseases ( because of diabetes and bypass history) so the best option is not to use vuagra.
Also if he is taking nitrate drugs he can't take them.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
Use alprostadil cream topically.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
I think it is better for him not to use viagra in order to be sure that will not have any side effects.
Instead I can suggest him to use alprostadil cream to be applied topically and it will have good results on erectile dysfunction and will not have side effects on heart.
