Brief Answer:
The reports are explained below in details.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I already reviewed the attached reports.

Through the first report I see that the level of neutrophils is very high.

The main cause of high neutrophils level is the presence of an infection in the system.

Through the second report (Arterial Blood Gas) I see that the vein pH is high, this means the presence of alkalinity in the vein.

TotCO2 reflects the amount of carbon dioxide gas dissolved in the blood. It is also high.

So, this examination lead to a pulmonary infection.

A treatment with a cycle of prescribed antibiotics may be needed.

A chest x-ray and a consult with a pulmonologist is necessary for further evaluation and treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further

Brief Answer:
Follow up queries explained below in details.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, again dear,

The chest x-ray ray is necessary to confirm the possible lung infection and start an antibiotic therapy.

The treatment of high CO2 in blood consists in:

The use of antibiotics to treat the infection.

The use of corticosteroids to treat inflammation.

Sometimes is needed mechanical ventilation to reduce CO2 in blood.

A visit to a pulmonologist is necessary to proceed with the treatment.

Best wishes to you and mother.

Take care dear,

Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi
