Question: my niece is 15 years old. she is a bit underweight. Her CBC is normal and has no medical condition except mild sinus inflammation.
she recently suffered from attacks of speedy heart rated that reached 120-130 at rest.. especially early in the XXXXXXX to the extent that she wakes up freaking of the feeling.
we did Echo and it was perfect, we did Thyroid functions and her TSH was a bit high. so we did Holter and I attach its report.
do you see in it a specific alarming observation?

Hello!

Welcome on - Ask a Doctor - service!

I passed carefully through your niece"s medical history and the uploaded Holter report and would like to explain that no any episodes of serious, life-threatening cardiac arrhythmia is detected, no conductance abnormalities, no ventricular arrhythmias.

Coming to this point, I would like to assure you that there is nothing serious to worry about with her heart.

Supra-ventricular arrhythmia may be due to potential thyroid dysfunction and acute inflammation status.

I recommend discussing with her internist or endocrinologist for further clinical investigation of her thyroid function and closely following her inflammation status.

Once the above mentioned clinical condition are controlled, sinus tachycardia will subside and supra-ventricular extra-systoles will disappear.

Hope to have been helpful to you!

In case of any further questions, feel free to ask me again.

Kind regards,
