Question: my son 2 yr old (10kg)is having loose motion from yesterday. may be due to his new growing teeth. frequency is 8 times from yesterday afternoon till today morning 10 am.
we tried to give electrol ORS and yesterday sporolac was given to him. Yesterday night he was having mild fever so P250 was given 2.5ml 2 times(at 6 hr gap) so fever is ok now.
please suggest should we visit Dr. or any other remedy.

I have gone through the query and do understand your concern.
Loose motion with fever in this age is most likely due to some viral infection. Here the main treatment is giving plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration. Giving zinc and probiotic helps in early recovery. Paracetamol will help in controlling fever. The dose of paracetamol is OK for this age. Dose of zinc will be 20 mg(5 ml) for 14 days. You can give plain water also in between if he is not liking the taste of ORS.
I won't get overly worried if child is active, taking fluids well, passing urine, there is no vomiting or abdominal distension and stool is not mixed with mucus or blood.
It may take 4-5 days for the stool pattern to get normal.
