My Wife Getting Dry Cough Not Frequently But At Evening

Question: my wife getting dry cough not frequently but at evening time she feels like dry cough and slight mucus in throat, please tell me why this happened? is this any disease or allergy? suggest treatment for this. This happened almost last 15 to 20 days, in between I suggest her for dextromethorphan couch syrup and levocloperastine fendizoate cough syrup at that time she cured from this symptoms but after 1 or 2 days she again feel with dry cough at evening time. Suggest me proper treatment.

I can understand your concern.
By your history and description possibility of allergic cough is more likely in her.
If it is infection related cough she would have fever, malaise and cough all day, not only in the evening.
So in my opinion it is allergic more likely.
Better to start montelukast (anti allergic) and antihistamine (levocetrizine or fexofenadine) combination at night.
Also tells her to do warm water gargles and steam inhalation 4-5 times a day.
