Brief Answer:
possible hernia

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service.
I understand your concerns.

First, this may be hernia which is a benign condition unless it becomes painful, incarcerated and cause bowel obstructions.

In this case, it is a surgical emergency and this would manifest with additional symptoms such as pain, nausea, vomit, lack of bowel movements and increasing pain with tender and hard bulge.

If she doesn't have such symptoms then she should rest, lay down and take painkillers and it should pull back. Then, later she can consult the surgeon and see if hernia repair is necessary.

Less common conditions are rectus diastasis or intraabdominal pathologies but these are not emergency and can be evaluated later.

Wish you good health.
Regards
