My Wife Is Having Severe Pain On Movement Of Her

Question: my wife is having severe pain on movement of her spine,she also has a swelling on the lower back,actually she has been doing the daily chores of the house for the last few days and yesterday she continually bent for a long time cleaning she had some stiffness and after that she laid back on the hard floor and was hit by a sharp edge stone on the same point in the lower back..when she woke up ,there is swelling and alot of pain on movement,hope there is not fracture or tear of the sorts,whats the best way to deal with the pain and how can we be sure if its not serious?

If there is pain and swelling in the lower back then next to get an xray of that area. xray lumbar spine will suffice.

In some instances it could be prominence of the muscles of the back that looks like swelling. If its a bony point then it could be possible fracture due to weak bones. She must avoid bending forward or lifting heavy objects.

ITS VERY DIFFICULT TO GET AN XRAY RIGHT NOW,CAN WE WAIT FOR A TWO DAYS OR IS IT VERY URGENT TO GET AN XRAY?SHOULD I SEND YOU A PICTURE OF THE SWELLING?THERE IS NO BONY POINT,THANKFULLY.WHAT PAINKILLER I SAFE TO HAVE?

Xray is not urgent. If your wife is not having any weakness of the legs or pins and needles sensation of the legs.

If possible please send the photo of the swelling.
