Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.

I have gone through your query and would like to offer some suggestions.

Firstly, with recurrent infections, further evaluation is needed in the form of vaginal and cervical swab culture tests to help use appropriate treatment. High blood sugar levels are also to be excluded. Treatment should be continued for a few months as prophylaxis.

In the current scenario, I would suggest a proper clinical evaluation and plan further management. Couple evaluation is necessary for management of recurrent infections.

Since you are planning for a child in future, proper preparation is advisable. Though the infection is unlikely to affect fertility, it can sometimes cause failure to sustain pregnancy.

Washing after intercourse flushes out the sperm and decreases the conception chances. I presume your wife is doing this to avoid infection. Please discuss and assure her. Take treatment if necessary.

Hope you find this information helpful. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Please see a gynecologist for evaluation.

Leakage of semen can happen in some situations.
Training and counseling are useful to avoid semen leakage. Your doctor will help.

Hello,

Thanks for writing again.

The specialist who is going to examine your wife will detect if there is any possibility of semen leakage. Lying in the prone position is a way of avoiding the leakage. Toning of the pelvic floor is another way of preventing semen leakage. This is done through exercises suggested by your doctor.

This should not be a problem for conception if other factors like sperm count, progressive motility are good along with regular ovulation.

Hope I have clarified all your queries.

regards
Shanti.V.
