Brief Answer:
Compete inner ear check up.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for choosing "Ask a Doctor" service for your query,
Very likely your vertigo is related to inner ear.Inner ear has two parts cochlea(Hearing) and Vestibule(Balance). After a age of 50 most likely cause of dizziness especially with vomiting is problem with inner year.
It can be Labyrinthitis
BPPV
Menieres disease

Investigations to be done are
Caloric test
ENG
Weber's test
Rinnis test.
A MRI brain to rule out vestibular schwannoma.

Follow up with reports.
You need to see an ENT or Neuro otologist(Not neurologist).
As off now take stemetil 5 mg tablet twice for relief.

Follow up with reports.
Thanks.
