Question: one of my friend is having XXXXXXX parsy for the past 15 months, he took treatment but not completely cured. mainly because of stress and lack of sleep, how it will get treated and what will be the cost. and what precautions he has to take. thank you

Hi,

Bell's palsy is a rare condition. But usually the condition resolves and recovery is expected in 3 weeks. Some people who have delayed recovery get well in about 6 months. However rarely when recovery period extends beyond a year, the chances of full recovery becomes slim.

In your friend's case, it is unfortunate the recovery was not established in the last 15 months. In this case, I am not sure we can expect any further improvement. There are reports where surgical treatment has been done to decompress nerve resulting in improvement. However this form of treatment is controversial. If you can describe your friends neurological deficits, we can discuss about ways to treat those deficits if possible.
