hi Doctor , I have just sent you an email. please confirm
Brief Answer:
Pigmented purpuric dermatoses and its management
Detailed Answer:
I have reviewed the attached pictures.
You seem to be having pigmented purpuric dermatoses.
It is chronic pigmentation disorder associated with thyroid disorder, obesity, liver disease, individuals with prolonged standing, walking, varicose veins and sometimes occurs without any cause.
It is very resistant to treatment.
I would recommend you to get your thyroid function tests and liver function tests to exclude these disorders.
Also avoid prolonged standing and walking.
Besides this apply tacrolimus 0.1 percent ointment mixed in a moisturizing lotion on the affected areas once daily and take tablet calcium dobesilate 500 mg twice daily.
These are prescription drugs and should be taken under the supervision of the doctor.
I hope to have answered your query and would be happy to answer any further questions.
