Please Help Me I Am So Scared. I Have Always
Please confirm your age...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I see you posted 42 as your age and male as your gender. Probably it's a mistake. But I wish for a confirmation about the age.
Assuming your age is correct and you are 42, it is common to find period disturbances at this age group. It's the effects of fluctuating hormones. Furthermore chances of conceiving naturally at this age are slightly lower and there are high chances of miscarriages. So if you have a strong wish to conceive you should consider taking help of infertility experts. A series of hormone analysis along with follicular study scans are entailed.
As far as cancer is concerned ovarian and uterine cancers are relatively rare at this age. It's more common after 60 years. Cervical cancers can occur at this age, but you will see pain and bleeding with intercourse if it's a cancer.
In a nutshell, it is less likely to be cancer. Hormone fluctuation is most likely.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

I have always had good regular cycles but now this has happened can it go back to normal?
I am overweight so can't have any fertility treatments.
The doctor has put me on Metformin as I have recently been diagnosed as type 2 diabetic.
Will this help regulate my cycles? I am also thinking of acupuncture. I have a fertility appointment next week to see if there are any options for me.
I got pregnant age 41 naturally so I think I can do it again but unfortunately it ended in missed miscarriage. I was 12 weeks but baby died 5.5 weeks
Metformin helps...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Metformin is an useful medicine. It lowers insulin resistance which is beneficial - in treating diabetes and over weight. Further insulin resistance is also known to cause ovarian cyst which in turn affect period and fertility.
As I mentioned the current period disturbance is more likely secondary to hormone fluctuation than cancer. And whether or not this is permanent can only be assessed with hormone analysis. You can talk about it with the infertility doctors. They will run the tests after starting medicines to induce period (if periods don't start by then).
I understand your desire to conceive. But even if you conceive naturally there are higher chances of miscarriage. In my opinion you should consider assisted methods like IVF. The doctors at fertility clinic will know about it.
Hope I have answered all your questions. Let me know if you need any other information.
