Brief Answer:
could be nerve pressure in neck, wrist or elbow .

Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
Possible nerve damage in the finger will cause pain , numbness in the affected finger.
In my opinion damage to single nerve in the finger is very uncommon and occurs with open wounds only . Normally pain in the fingers comes due to pressure on cervical nerves at neck or some times in wrist or elbow.
I suggest you start a combination of pregabalin and methycobalamine and get Nerve conduction velocity tested, along with MRI cervical spine.
Hope to hear from you with reports soon. Please elaborate more on which specific finger is affected and what are the symptoms.
Thanks
