Question: recently i have developed a bruise on my left calve, looks like a normal bruise but it has a slight bump/ lump over it when i run my finger over it.. is this normal?

Especially if you hit your calf against something, what you describe sounds normal to me, the bump/lump is could just be a small collection of blood under the skin. As the bruise heals that blood should slowly be reabsorbed over several days to weeks.
