Question: Hello about a year ago I was prescribed 10mg doses of Flexeril, (I hurt my back at work) at the time I was on 20mg of lexapro every 24 hrs. Yesterday I hurt my back again and had some Flexeril left over from last year so I took a 10mg dose. I am now taking 30mg of lexapro every 24 hrs. My question is, should I be worried about serotonin syndrome because of the Flexeril and lexapro together? thank you

Brief Answer:
You can take both together

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
You can safely continue both the drugs.
Serotonin syndrome is a relatively rare condition and is usually seen with long term use of particular drugs. Flexeryl generally does not cause serotonin syndrome and you do not need long term use of flexeryl.
Thanks.
