Question: Hi, doctor. I need an implant done but also have a lump of some kind on the gum right next to extraction site where implant will be placed that needs to be removed. My question is this - should I do one thing at a time or while numb for the implant surgery, have the dentist do both at same time?

Brief Answer:
Please get it done seperately

Detailed Answer:
Hii first of all thank you for approaching us with your query. I read through it and I must say that first get the lump removed let it heal . Then do the implant. Because if lump removal takes time then for doing both procedures you may have to keep your mouth open for so long. It will be very difficult. So better to do it seperately. Stay calm .Positive and calm mind is the best medicine for any disease or condition.Hope you understood what I meant. Thank you and have a healthy day. Dr Rohit

Can u please tell me the stages of what happens in getting an implant? I believe the initial surgery is of course placing the implant and a healing abutment? If so, what happens after that and what are the healing time frames? Thanks so much for a detailed answer.

Brief Answer:
2 stage procedure

Detailed Answer:
Hiii first of all thank you for your followup query. I read through it. The Implant stages are first appointmnt implant placement n healing abutment. After 2-3 months once its osseointegrated impression will be made, abutment will be fixed followed by crown. Hope you understood what I meant. Thank you and have a healthy day. Dr Rohit
