If such a mite is there, then it will be helpful in managing obesity and would be an interesting topic for research. However we can put your fat tissue under microscope and check. You can visit a microbiology department in a local medical university and request them for such an examination.
In my opinion, many mites would like to live in adipose tissue but they will still feed on blood. Your fatty tissue will be disappearing due to their locally released toxins or due to depletion of nutrients from body.
If we use topical agents like shampoo etc, they will not penetrate below skin and will not have action. Moreover if they are used repeatedly they can damage normal skin. But if you really insist then permethrin based shampoo can be used.
