Brief Answer:
Some more information and a picture of the lesion is needed
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask a Doctor service,
I carefully read your query.
Spots in the genital area can be caused by a variety of conditions varying from infectious diseases such as HPV, to eczema or skin tumors.
It is important for us to have some more information on the lesion (spot):
- does the spot hurt or itch or cause any local discomfort?
- can you describe the spot a little more, such as its color, size, if it is flat or raised, etc?
- are you sexually active and if yes, do you think you are at risk for sexually transmitted diseases (unprotected intercourse)?
- have you ever been tested or diagnosed with a sexually transmitted disease?
- have you tried any treatment?
- do you have other complaints such as urinary symptoms, increased secretions, fever, etc?
It is important to know about the above information and if possible to have a picture of the lesion.
I hope to hear back from you soon. I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.

Brief Answer:
I can not access any pictures
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome back,
Thank you for your reply. I carefully read it.
Unfortunately, I can not access any pictures. Kindly write to the support team to assist you with this.
A spot that has been there for a couple of months and that does not cause much discomfort, is not changing quickly and if it is a little raised, very likely it is a wart. On the other hand, having an image of it will really help to better determine its cause.
Kindly let me know of the following in your reply, even if you think you uploaded an image (just in case you did not manage to upload one):
- how big is the lesion?
- is it raised or flat? Or is it ulcerated?
- what color is it?
- does it have clear borders (or do the borders gradually fade with the normal skin)?
- do you have similar lesions in other areas of the skin?
- does any of your partners have similar lesions?
I hope to hear back from you with the above-requested information.
