Brief Answer:
chest pain worse with movement, deep breathing, chest tenderness

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The development of costochondritis is usually slow and gradual.
THere may be a history of minor trauma to the chest or unaccustomed activity (eg moving something or lifting a heavy object etc)

Symptoms include:(1)chest pain worse by deep breathing or movement of the trunk (moving the chest from side to side etc)
(2)pain lessens with lessened movement, quiet breathing or change in position
(3)pain is nagging, aching, may feel like a pressure
(4)the severity may wax and wane, vary in its intensity

There is tenderness when the chest is felt, when examined-pain when pressing down on the center chest, this is a typical finding , if not present-not likely costochondritis.
There is no increased heat or redness

Typically NSAIDs are used as the first line of treatment eg ibuprofen, cataflam, naproxen, ketoprofen, celebrex- one of these

Local heat compression and gentle stretching of the pectorailis muscles of the chest- can also help in some cases

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
