Question: the beginning and throughout my ear cannel is red, flakly, and waxy. it is very painful to the touch. also my ears are very wet which is strange

Hence you must seek the opinion of a local ENT Specialist if this does not subside as ear cleaning and examination can be done under magnification.
4. Meanwhile, You can start with a wax softening ear drop which should be available OTC (Over The Counter). These drops usually contain anti-bacterial and anti-fungal medications also. Use about 5 drops 5 times a day and lie down for 5 min every time. An OTC paracetamol and anti-allergy medication will ease the pain.
