Brief Answer:
probably reactive lymph node

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to HCM.

this is suggestive of reactively swollen lymph node and this is most common seen as a reaction to some acute or chronic infection. Since it comes and pulls back, it seems like there is some chronic or recurent infection around this area and usually this is related to oral cavity, tooth, throat or sinuses or ear infection. SO it woul dbe good to see dentist and ENT doctor for further evaluation. I dont htink this is soemthing more serious especially if symptoms are intermittent. You can take acetamiofen or brufen for pain, have liquid diet if there is throat pain. if swelling become persistant, you should do ultrasound .
WIsh you good health. Regards
