Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome to Ask a Doctor service!

I understand your concern and would explain that the total artery calcium score is very high, indicative of the presence of coronary artery disease. You should know that a score above 300 is indicative of the presence of coronary artery disease and an increased risk for a heart attack.

Although you do not have any symptoms, this result indicates that further tests are needed in order to investigate for the presence of coronary artery disease.

In this regard the coronary angiogram would be the golden standard test to examine your coronary arteries for possible narrowing. But this is an invasive test.

For this reason, before going for this test, I would recommend performing one of these stress tests:

- a dobutamine stress echo
- a stress cardiac MRI,

in order to investigate for the presence of myocardial ischemia during stress.

If one of these tests results positive of coronary artery disease, the next step to follow would be the coronary angiogramm.

Hope you will find this information helpful!

Wishing all the best,
