I would not start medications right away...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

If you do not have any other risk factors such as history of diabetes, high blood pressure or family history of strokes / coronary artery disease / MI, then I would not start medicines for altered lipid values right away. I'd encourage you to follow a healthy balanced diet low in fat / oils. Avoid high carb / glycemic index food. You can discuss about these with your doctor / dietician.

Repeat lipid functions test after 6 months to decide future course of action.
