Question : Regarding the recent advisory from government on Meftal SPAS tablet. I used to have it during periods. I experience severe pain at the begining of menstruation. Kindly suggest any other substitutes for Meftal. Also, wanted to know if taking 1 tablet each month is dangerous for me.

Need not worry, the complications due to mefanamic acid though possible are not common. Also, most of the side effects happen within few hours or days.

For now you can take Drotaverine 40mg not more than two times for the pain.
