I saw your report. The arrow in your photo points at the tonsils. Also at the tonsils there are small holes which are normal part pf the tonsil. They may turn into white, especially after food, but that is nothing to worry about.

which tonsils are they please ? are these part of the Pallantine tonsil? but these are further down ??

Yes they are the palatine tonsils. The tonsils can be anywhere behind the pocket you see in the photo. So they are in good poition there.
