What Could Be The Side Affects Of Drinking/ Huffing Rubbing Alcohol?
Question: Hey, I have a habit of drinking/ huffing rubbing alcohol, hand sanitizer and acetone. Mainly acetone though it’s been going on for like a year or 2. I’ll stop for a while but then do it again I don’t drink a lot of it just like a sip everyday but sometimes I will crave it. I just want to know what causes it, what could be the side affects and how to stop this habit. I have anemia so maybe that can be part of the problem but I don’t really know

I’m a female 18 years old and I don’t really recall for how long I was off for maybe like a month or two? I don’t take any medication and I haven’t during any of this I don’t have my blood report and I haven’t gotten tested for liver function
Brief Answer:
Get tested
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the information.
Sorry for the delay in my response.
I suggest you to start by getting the Liver function test. GGT (Gamma-glutamyltransferase) will be seen rise in the consumption of high-alcohol-content drinks. It has to be corrected as it indicates Liver damage due to the same.
Its just like de-addiction to any other drug abuse. Counseling would really help. No medication can help you to get out of it. Well, there are medications which can treat if the liver is compromised.
