What Do I Have To Do I Have Some Type Of Parasite?
Question: I have some type of parasite. I looked at my feces under a microscope today and the worms had spiral type things running through them. Help me, what do I have? 2 days ago I excreted something wormlike that was about 3feet long.

Do you have any pictures of either the worm under the microscope or the 3 foot long worm? It would be hard to say without seeing them, but it is possible for tapeworms to become that large. The treatment for tapeworms would be with praziquantel, and I would also recommend a course of albendazole to cover for other parasites.

Sorry for the delay, I looked at the picture, the spiral things actually look like vegetable fibers. There's something else that I am not sure what it is, but does not have the head and other parts that you would typically see with a parasite. So I do not think there are parasites in the picture you sent, however, if you previously saw a worm before, I do think getting treated would be reasonable. If you are able to have your stool looked at in the lab, that may help to confirm whether parasites can be seen as well.
