HPV is human papilloma virus which is considered as the major cause for cervical cancer and genital warts in among females.
There are many strains( types) of HPV out of which HPV-16 and HPV-18 are important and they are the common cause for cervical cancer. Apart from HPV-16 and HPV-18 some other non specific strains can also cause cervical cancer and are considered as high risk HPV.
In your case there is the presence of there is no HOV-16 or BOV-18 but other high risk HPVs are detected.
However there is no malignant(cancerous) cells or changes consistent with cancer are seen. So nothing much to worry and only routine followup smear is required.
