What Does My Blood Test Report Indicate?
Required further evaluation.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your question.
Noted your concern.
After going through Mrs. XXXX's reports there is -
1) Postprandial blood glucose is above normal.
2) Hepatomegaly with fatty liver.
3) Low Hb (Anemia)
4) TMT: Mildly possitive for reversible ischemia.
1) For her elevated Postprandial blood glucose level, I would have advised-
- OGTT (Oral Glucose Tolerance Test): It is always better to classify blood glucose level considering OGTT results.
- HbA1c which tell about blood glucose level over a period of 90 to 120 days.
2) Hepatomegaly with fatty liver:
- It may be possibly related to overweight or obesity. Body Mass Index (BMI) above 25.
- It may not be of concern as her liver enzymes and other liver function tests are normal.
3) Low Hb (Anemia):
- After going through her Haemogram there is likely possibility of iron deficiency anemia which may be confirmed by doing Iron study.
- Hb can be corrected with intake of food containing iron, like green leafy vegetables, beat, nonvegetarian food. And by taking iron supplements.
4) TMT:
- It is advisable to consult cardiologist for further evaluation and 2DEcho.
- There may be need for coronary angiography, if she is symptomatic for chest discomfort or pain or breathing difficulty on exertion or there is family history of Heart disease.
Hope this helps you.
