Brief Answer:
For dark patches, Melalite ointment is used to fade the colour of patches.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The following are few common causes of black patches on legs :
1) exposure to sun
2) post inflammatory marks
3)diabetes mellitus
4)chronic venous insufficiency leading to hemosiderin staining
5)addison disease
6)excess weight
7)pregnancy
8)smoking and lack of exercise
Treatment depends upon the cause of pigmentation.
My suggestions are as follows :
1) Avoid standing for long periods of time
2) Reduce weight if you are overweight
3) avoid exposure to sun or use a sunscreen lotion
4)For dark patches to become light, ointments containing hydroquinone are recommended like Melalite ointment to be applied on the dark patch daily twice.
5)regular physical exercise improves blood circulation to legs and helps reduce the black patches.
Just do not feel anxious as these black patches will fade away with time.
If your skin doesn't improve in 10 days, you may need to see a dermatologist. Hope i have answered your question. Please let me know if you need any further assistance. Thank you. Take care.
Thanks.
