What Precautions Can Be Taken To Change Her Thyroxin Dosage?
Question: Hi My mother is 62. Her thyroid gland was removed two years ago in 2021 and before that she had the same surgery in 2010 as well. She has been on continuous medication since. Off late her TSH level had increased to around 12.5 therefore she started taking Thyroxin 100 mg from her initial 50mg dosage. Today she did a full body checkup where I can see that here TSH level has decreased beyond the normal limit. Her Calcium and Vitamin D levels are also down. She usually has low blood pressure as well and her height is 5ft and weighs around 62Kgs. I have attached her tests to this thread. Please let me know if she needs to change her Thyroxin dosage or any other precautions can be taken with regards to her diet based on the tests. Please let me know if you need any additional details. Thank you so much.
