Woke Up With Swollen Brightly Colored Lips And Redness Inside

default
Posted on Tue, 22 Jan 2019
Question: woke up with swollen brightly colored lips and redness inside my mouth, inside the cheek area seems swollen too. Also a slight sore throat. I have been using my nebulizer with an albuterol sulfate solution 0.083% to clear the mucus from lungs [ it loosens it up so I can spit it out] this condition is from a long bout with a cold.

Brief Answer:
Severe allergic reaction, go to ER.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

It seems like you are suffering from an allergic reaction to a food or drug or substance you were eating lately.
I recommend you to go to ER for prednisone injections because breath can be compromised.
It is an emergency situation. Nebuliser can't help

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
