Would It Be Possible To Have A Condom Stuck Inside

default
Posted on Mon, 9 Dec 2019
Question: would it be possible to have a condom stuck inside for a week and no symptoms? I have weird butterflies in my stomach but not sure if its anxiety? no discharge, no smell, no pelvic pain. I had that happen before and developed an infection after 3 days, so I'm worried it happened again.
Would there be any symptoms or can it come out on its own if its there? Im worried because its been a week.

Brief Answer:
Please get a clinical exam.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for sharing your health concern with us.

I have gone through your query and would like to offer my opinion.

In the first instance, make sure that you have a retained condom. At home, you can check through palpation but it is ideal to get a proper speculum exam by a specialist to clarify the situation.

Secondly, if there is a retained condom, infection is more likely. Based on your previous experience, it is more likely that you do not have any retained condom.

Do not douche or use strong soap solutions to clean the genital region. Instead, use mild antiseptic solutions.

Hope you find this information useful. Please feel free to contact for further clarifications. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
