What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy After Taking Ipills?

My question is about my period. I m not sure how to phrase it, but here s what s been happening to me: My body has been acting very strange this month. I stopped taking birth control (trinessa) this past month, so this is my first month without it. I have had protected sex since then. I got my period one day late and it only lasted for two days, the first day (saturday) being very heavy with more cramping than usual, and the second day(sunday) being very light. short periods are normal for me, usually three days, but they are always very light. The day after it ended (monday), I got the worst migraine of my life. It lasted from 3pm until i went to bed. At around 7pm, I was getting very nauseous and by 8:30/9pm I was leaning over my toilet crying in pain and heaving (I didn t throw up though). After I showered, I fell asleep much earlier than usual (around 10pm). The next day (Tuesday), I was feeling nauseous on and off throughout the day. On Wednesday morning I woke up with a charlie horse in my right calf. It went away but my leg was sore for the rest of the day. Thursday (today) has been better. I did not feel nauseous all day, but now I am starting to get a migraine (10pm). I d like to rule out the possibility of being pregnant, as it is unlikely since I had protected sex. I just am not sure because I was not on birth control, but I have no signs of pregnancy. Is my body just readjusting since I stopped taking birth control and it is making it s way out of my system?

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. You are unlikely to ovulate in the very first cycle after stopping the oral contraceptive pill. Return of ovulation may take a couple of cycles. Your present symptoms are more likely to be due to the withdrawal effect of the pill. The nausea could be due to the migraine. Please see a physician to rule out other causes for the migraine and other symptoms. To exclude pregnancy however, you can go for the blood test as the HPT may not be of much use here. Hope this helps.
