11 Month Baby, Burst Balloon Against Right Ear. Could This Have Damaged His Hearing?

Someone kindly gave my 11 month old son a balloon. He was thrilled by it and I was so tickled by his joy that I forgot to think about it popping. He was in the baby carrier on my front and I was talking softly into it, while his ear was pressed against it on the other side. He squeezed it enthusiastically and it popped, right against his ear. He was very startled and cried for a few seconds right after it happened, then stopped and seemed ok. I am wondering if you think this could have damaged his hearing. It was a loud pop. My ear was not pressed against it so I don't know quite what that must have felt like to him. Should I worry and have his hearing checked?

WE CANT GUESS BECAUSE THE CHILD SYSTEMS ARE VERY SENSITIVE AND WE DONT KNOW THEIR TOLERATION POWER
IT IS BETTER TO GET EXAMINED FROM ENT DOCTOR WHO MAY HAVE LOOK INSIDE EAR TO FIND IF SOMETHING HAPPENED REALLY TO HURT THE PART OF CHILD
