11 Month Baby Got Hit On Head After Falling Down, Having Diarrhea. Is Diarrhea Related To The Hitting Of Head?

My son is 11 months old and last night he climbed out of his crib, he fell out and hit the back of his head. He cried for about two minutes then fell back asleep. This morning he woke up wanting to play and eat ( his normal self ). Now he has diarrhea and cranky. I didn't know if the diarrhea is related to him hitting is head or coincidence?

Hello,
Your son got hit on the head and now has diarrhea. Head injury does not cause diarrhea. If he is eating well, not vomiting, seems to be his normal self and has no abnormal movements; then you need not bother about him hitting his head.

For treatment of diarrhea visit a paediatrician, till then you can give him plenty of oral rehydration solutions and syrup zinc (20mg once a day for 14 days).

Hope that helps.
Wishing you good luck.
