ISn t that really low? She has also been having headaches and fatigue . Recently had a menstrual cycle. Could her iron be very low?

Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.

Normal blood pressure reading is individualized and is not the same for every individual. The normal reference limit of 120/80mmHg is more a guideline and not a clear cut marker for diagnosing hypertensive or hypotensive.

That being said, the lower blood pressure below 70mmHg is low, but has less significance in the absence of clinical symptoms of hypotension. It becomes significant if your daughter has dizziness, fainting spells or light-headedness. Besides recent blood loss, reduced hydration and other external factors can strongly influence blood pressure recordings.

So do not worry about her blood pressures.

Hemoglobin levels and serum iron levels need to be assessed in view of easy fatigability.

Hope this helps.

Regards
