My daughter is 10yrs 11 months old.She started with her mensuration on 11 may.It was very light for first two days, but for third and fourth day the flow is comparitivly heavy and she is feeling tired and drained off.I wanted to find out how long is her mensuration cycle expected to be? Is there a way to bring down the flow during mensuration? How do I help her deal with the uneasyness and weakness during the periods? What kind of diet is preferres during the mensuration cyccle? How will mensuration affect her growth?
hello dear, welcome to healthcare magic, The menses which come for the first time is called menarche. heavy menstruation is expected during this time, actually speaking the body takes time to adjust to the changes since there are many hormonal changes occuring during this period of puberty, so irregular menses, heavy bleeding or even scanty bleeding is all common, no need to worry it will become normal within few months.Do not interrupt. She might even bleed for 7 to 10 days, but dont worry, just give her a good iron rich diet like jaggery, green vegatables, non veg, since the Haemoglobin levels drop down and cause the weakness.Have a healthy day.thanks.
