13 Weeks Pregnant. Less Fluid Around Baby. Would Like To Have Information About Aminolytic Test.
Respected Dr.,
I would like to know about aminolytic test. My wife is 13 weekd pregenant. During her visit to doctor we came to know that she is having less fluid near the baby. Doctor suggest us to go for aminolytic test. I would like to know this condition is dangerous for baby. I will highly appreciate you could give your suggestion.
I have never heard of Aminolytic test. In your case I will assume it as Amniocentesis Test which is used in prenatal diagnosis of fetal infection or chromosomal abnormality. The amniotic fluid can be studied for genetic diagnosis, any infection, lung maturity, Rh incompatibility. It is done usually between 15th to 20th weeks. 13 Weeks pregnancy is early for this test and with less fluid around fetus(Oligohydromnios) it will be more risky. It may cause fetal injury or infection of amniotic fluid.
Do consider a positive feedback as a credit to my work. Let me know if you have any further questions.
