14 Year Old Concerned About Delayed Growth Spurt

I just turned 14 and I'm 35kg, 150cm tall. I've lost weight since year 6 due to healthier eating and more exercise. I started puberty in year 6 and I'm in year 9 with not much breast but I have pubic hair since year 6. Will I ever get a growth spurt? I've only grown around 3cm in the past 3 years. Am I due to pit on weight and grow? I exercise quite a lot

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Height is mainly genetically determined but is also influenced by environmental factors such as diet, activity and the presence of any chronic illness.

At age 14, with a height of 150cm and weight of 35kg, your BMI can be calculated and placed on a chart to determine if it is appropriate.
Your BMI places you in the 14th percentile. This is within normal which is good.

There are different stages of puberty, normally there is breast development , development and changes to pubic hair and menstruation.
Delayed puberty would be absence of breast development by age 13.

There are different possible causes such as: related to chronic illness, not eating enough or well, excess physical activity, low levels of thyroid hormone, abnormality with the reproductive hormones or related to genetics or family history.

If you and your family suspect there is a delay , then you should be taken to your doctor for an evaluation.

I hope this helps
