2 Weeks Late Periods, Pregnancy Symptoms. Negative Pregnancy Tests. Advice?
Hi I am 2 weeks late on my period, I have a lot of pregnancy symptoms and I feel pregnant but hpt said negative this morning. I am normally on time with period and we are trying to concieve. With my previous pregnancy I got a positive hpt on day of missed period. Im very confused at the moment and would love to hear some advice.
Hpt test may sometimes give a false result. You may either repeat the test after a gap of 7 days or get a blood hcg test & Ultrasound done for confirmation of pregnancy.
In absence of pregnancy, delay in periods can be due to various reasons like Stress, Hormonal imbalance, Infection in the Genitourinary tract, any pathology in the Uterus, fallopian tubes, ovary, etc.
So, kindly consult a Gynecologist & get a proper physical examination done. Investigations like complete blood count & Ultrasound scan of Abdomen & Pelvis will be helpful in detecting any pathological cause.
Take care.
