2 Year Kid, Suffering From Diarrhea, Red Itchy Eyes, Reoccurring. Recommendations?

Hi. My son is 1 year & 10months. He's had diarrhea (2-3 times a day) for almost every day for the past 2 weeks. Our pediatrician asked for a stool sample which turned out to be normal. In parallel our son has had red itchy eyes and we were prescribed tobradex ophthalmic suspension which seems to temporarily improve the redness but it's still recurring and not cured yet. Please advise.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

I will not worry for 2-3 loose motions in a day. However I would like to get the stool examination repeated.

Red itchy eyes need not improve with an antibiotic eye drop. Kindly get them examined as there may be other causes for the redness such as trachoma, etc.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your son an early recovery.
