2 Year Old With Swollen Gums, White Dots Inside The Lips. What Is It?

my 2 year old has red swollen gums up the top, and her gums have come down to her teeth (so it looks like her teeth have shrunk!!). There are some white dots on the inside of her top lip. Her saliva smells a bit different and there are some brown marks on the inside of her top teeth. It looks quite nasty. Any idea what this could be?

Bad breath can occur in any mouth infection or sores.
Swelling of gums in gingivitis and if it is painful it may be related to vigorous brushing.
Dots on lips suggest epithelial damage which often occurs in apthous. Ulcers due to viral fever or stress.
When the dots are white capped... it doesnot mean that body is trying to control infection and may heal as it gets painless as it turns white.
There are simple medicines that help in rapid cure... but often these issues donot last more than a week unless a serious reason .

Thanks
