2 Yr Old Has Fever And Congestion, Advised Cepodem, Levolin, P125, Not Reducing. Suggestions ?

Hello Dr. My niece age 2 yrs approx. is having fever and congestion since last 3 days..yesterday visited a Doctor who advised cepodem, levolin and p 125..he recommended p125 on SOS basis..started medicine since yesterday but temperature is not coming at normal level..it is remaining in between 98.5-100 degree...Given 1 dose of 5 ml of p125 last night only...Request you to advise on the action we are supposed to take. she is not ready to eat anything. pls. suggest.

hello..

You have already consult with your doctor and medicine is on. So no need to worry.

If temperature is 100 F you can use P 125, 5ml stat

Some time viral fever take 5 to 6 days to settle and ther is no need of antibiotic (cepodem) ,

I would Advice:
1.Take medicine which already prescribed your doctor.
2.If Fever is not subside, you should get her evaluated once for her complaint to get her examined
physically by a pediatrician.
3.If necessary do investigation,( Fever profile )
4.Keep your baby Hydrate (Sugar 4 tsf+ salt 1/2 tsf+ 1/2 liter water, Fresh fruit juice, coconut water
etc )
5.Cold sponging.
6. If she is not eating, no problem keep your baby hydrate.
