26 Month Baby, Low Grade Fever, Runny Nose. What Should Be Done?
My 26 month old has been having a low grade fever for 2 weeks and has been rather fussy. I think she has a concussion. I took her to her ped after a week of mild fever and he said it is not a concussion. She got a cold this week and has a runny nose, she seems to be recovering but she still has fever. I'm originally from china, where they treat mild concussion with a head massage by a chiropractor but in states I'm afraid to take her to them as they wouldn't know. What should I do now?
Your child has upper respiratory tract infection and since the fever has not subsided it would be advisable to get her examined again and maybe carry out a few more investigations at this stage.
Concussion happens post head injury and since there is no history of head injury in your child there is negligible risk of concussion and hence no indication for head massage by chiropractor.
